The residents of the Garvaghy Road Nationalist community in Portadown wish to thank the many people around the world who have sent in their messages of support during these last days. Letters of encouragement and solidarity have been received from as far away as Norway, South Africa, Australia and North America. Other community and residents groups throughout Ireland have been the backbone of support for the beleaguered Nationalist residents of Portadown. The community has been bolstered by knowledge of all those outside who are keeping watch on the situation and who are advocates of equality and fairness.
